Special Military Lottery Open - The Army Ten-Miler will offer 400 race entries to the military thru a special, online lottery 11-15 Aug. The military lottery www.armytenmiler.com/Registration/SoldierLottery.cfm is open to all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. Winners will be randomly selected on 16 Aug. Winners will be announced on 19 Aug. All winners will need to show a military ID to obtain their race number.


   
 

Important Race Deadlines
August 8th (11:59 p.m. EST) -- Expired
• Deadline to initiate an entry transfer has expired. All entry transfers are completed.
• All referral codes expire and all prepaid entries must be have been registered
• Deadline to create a team name has expired.

August 26 (11:59 p.m. EST)
• Team changes -- additions and deletions -- must be completed online.

   
  And the winner is…Paul Woodbury - About 6,000 registered runners voted for the 2008 t-shirt design winner. The design created by Paul Woodbury of California was chosen as the winner and will be the official design on all volunteer and race t-shirts.

Second place was awarded Duane Williamson and his “Army Strong” design. Neil Fessler walked away with third place with “Dog Tags”. To read the press release and view the designs click here.

   
ATM Proceeds Help Soldier and Soldier Families - Proceeds from the Army Ten-Miler race go to support Soldier Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs. Army MWR was established to show the commitment of the U.S. Army to the well-being of the community of people who serve and stand ready to defend the nation. Want to Volunteer for the ATM - The ATM is looking for individuals and groups interested in volunteering for race weekend Oct. 3-Oct. 5. The volunteers for the ATM do more than “show up”, they play an active part in the execution of the race plans from the hotel pick-up to the water stations along the race route.
