Army Ten-Miler - Information Provider @ Garment Check

Position Overview
At the beginning of race day, approixmately 15,000 runners will use the Garment Check to store "outer clothing" they will not wear during the race. As an information provider at the garment check, you provide a location for runners and guests to receive answers about the race, food, facilities and vendor locations.

Location/Time
Report to the Volunteer Check-In Tent in the South Pentagon Parking Lot Lane 21 at 6:00 AM and report to the Garment Check area.


Tasks

  • Answer general questions about the route, staging area, and parking.
  • Close information space when race starts

Task Details

Answer general questions.
You will receive questions about the route, the staging area, and parking. Be prepared by familiarizing yourself with locations and rules. Be prepared to identify vendor locations. You may provide people with printed information, including the following:

  • List of events by time and location
  • Staging site layout
  • Course map
  • Pentagon area map including Start area, extra Runner's Programs, directions to general parking
Close information space when race starts
  • The information service at the garment check is only active until the race starts. When the race starts, close the information space and take your remaining materials to the information tent.
