Spectator Locations

Not a runner but don't want to miss out on the excitement of the Army
Ten-Miler? Be a Spectator.

Some of the recommended locations to view the runners are:

Memorial Bridge
Cheer runners early on in the race. Stand on the East side of Memorial Bridge at the Lincoln Monument. After the race walk around and visit the monuments in the area.

By the Capitol
Stop and watch at the Reflecting Pool. Position yourself between 3rd Street, SW and 1st Street, SW and you will see the masses run a ring around you.

Independence Avenue
There are a couple of great viewing locations on this street. Between 14th Street, SW and 3rd SW on Independence Ave. you will see the runners between miles 6 and 7. An easy walk from the Federal Center SW Metro station.
Watch the runners get even closer to the Finish by cheering them on at the intersection of 14th Street, SW and Independence by mile 8. While here listen to the sounds of the 287th Army Band. Conveniently located to the Smithsonian Metro station.

Finish Area
Here inside the Staging Area is one of the most popular areas for being a bystander. Situate yourself at this location and you will see the runners raise their arms in the air as they cross over the Finish Line. Congratulate the runners as they pass you by on the way to get their Finisher Coin.
