The Army Ten-Miler is October 24, rain or shine. The start and finish lines are at the Pentagon. The race starts at 8:00am. Wounded Warriors, wheelchair and visually impaired athletes will start at 7:50am.
All participants must maintain a 15-minute mile pace or better. Roads are opened on a rolling schedule. Runners must be at the 5 mile mark by 9:35am. Runners arriving at the 5 mile mark after 9:35am will be redirected at 14th Street and directed to the 8 mile mark and on to the finish line. If you are redirected at the 5 mile mark you will receive a time but not an official 10-mile race result.
Audio and video devices (CD or DVD players, mobile phones, MP3 players, iPods and iPod sport kits, cameras, etc), weapons, combustible material (lighters and matches), clothing with vulgar writing, aerosol sprays (pepper or mace), strollers, baby-joggers, roller blades, skateboards, bicycles, animals, bags and backpacks. If you are caught with an audio or video device you will be subject to disqualification.
Flags, heart rate monitors, water bottles, GPS watches, pace monitors (not used in conjuction with a listening device), medical kits and gel packs. Water belts and fanny packs will be subject to search.
No. Any unregistered runner that competes with a registered runner’s bib number will be disqualified. If the bib number is associated with a team then that team will be disqualified from competition. ATM officials are taking a firm position on handing-off bib numbers because of liability issues and the adverse impacts on scoring, results, and awards. You must have a bib to access the start line. There is no race day pick-up.
Animals, except for guide dogs for persons with disabilities, are not allowed on the Pentagon Reservation.
